Yeah I actually noticed you had all these kinda deep and thoughtful paintings going on (loving them). Venting alot of emotions are we? haha. I’ve just been contacted to do some t-shirt designs for a band so super stoked about that and I just submitted a drawing to that curtin mag (see latest post in Illustrators FB group). I actually submitted the misfits and monsters artwork haha so hopefully i get in! annnnd I’ve been doing some art for our concept assignment. Have you given much thought to it? oh and btw tafe called me to say i can’t do double units, not enough funding blah blah did you get the call?

I don’t have a scanner with me as I’m currently at my folks house. You can see all my muse posters (there are another 3 more in my room) in the background from when I was 16/17 haha my room hasn’t changed alot since I moved out. Any way this is a quick 30 min ball point sketch of jacobsmacob character Judy. I’ll scan it when I get back to Perth!

(I forgot to post this) Last year a couple of students and I organised our own art/graphic design expo. It was called misfits and monsters, I designed one of the posters for it which you can see here.

Eariee Character Design. This is year one of my main assignments is to design concept art for your own video game (25 week assignment). I’ll be developing my concepts from the Eariee Project (novel) into game like designs.
Re-designing Tessa for a video game design was the hardest out of the 4 girls. This is her transformation from typical London girl in a book to the main player in a RPG like vidoe game.
I’ll be compiling all the images into a portfolio and writing up bios for every one.
My second and last illustration assignment done in November. The first being The Little Mermaid. The assignment was to draw a mechanical vehicle or creature in a dynamic setting. I’m pleased with the fact that this is my first drawing of a dragon or any large creature. But I was never happy with the final composition. I think in a couple of months I will return to this painting.
